Welcome everyone to the great and wonderful unknown called 2014! I hope everyone's so far is going great, and if you are one of those seemingly less few who make resolutions, I, in all sincerity hope you are able to keep them. I will support you and cheer you on!
My husband leaves this Wednesday to Korea...for a whole year...without my daughter and I. Its going to be tough. Even though I was a single mom before I met my husband, but the thing is now...we got used to having each other around to talk to when frustrated about anything, and just be there in silence and be comfortable with just that. My daughter, too, was younger when we first met and was in daycare, which was very good for her and I. It helped her a lot. As most parents know though daycare is highly expensive. I am making sure she is 1 of the first on the Pre-K list here. Her and I both need it, and I hope she is picked to be able to go! Here in Georgia as I mention before in a previous post is that Ga is a lottery funded Pre-K with very limited spots. Like the lottery itself! I personally do not think a child's education however should be gambled on, but it's an opinion everyone has one right?
I don't really have such a resolution this year, I want to see it more as a goal. I want to be able to change myself for the better, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I want my husband to come home after a year and be like "Whoa! Who's that fine female, with the banging body, and awesome attitude?" Personally, I am ready to reinvent myself for the better. Too many years have gone by that I've let others tear me down, that is right, I said LET. That is a mistake first and foremost. You should never let anyone do anything to you that you don't want to or wouldn't do to others. Yup, that is my resolution. :)
