Puffs Plus Lotion TLCVoxBox Review

Sorry for the VERY late post. I have a horrible habit of doing that don't I? Well the posts may get more longer in between. I have a lot of personal things going on so please, dear readers, whatever, and how many I may have. Bear with me okay?

Here we go!

Puffs Plus Lotion is another item I got to try complimentary of Influenster in my TLCVoxBox.

Perfect post for whats going on in my life because I sure have needed a BUNCH of tissues, and to add lotion to it helps keeped the chapped, red, flaky nose at bay.

I got a travel size which is perfect to take wherever you go with you....obviously right?

I've used puffs before in the past and really like their products and will continue to do so in the future.

Sorry for such a short post this time.

#TLCVoxBox Product Review 1

I've decided I am not going to go in any particular order on which product to blog about first, besides the obvious of playing favorites go first. So, I suppose my absolute favorite product that I've tried, and have loved, will be the first product I review.

Drum Roll please........

That's right, of course if you know me then you know I LOVE food, and sweets. I know such a bad vice to have. Even more so when your medical issues going on aren't letting you eat like you would love to and use to.

I only paid an actual 24 cent for this product due to taxes. I had went to our new Walmart earlier that day expecting a heavenly display of 4 different flavors of this product they offer, but to my dismay there was NONE. Yeah I know right?! How could that be? a BRAND new Walmart did NOT have the Breyer Gelato Indulgences in stock whatsoever. Sad faces and sighs. So, I decided since I was already out and Kroger was down the road I would check there. They too had this TINY "display" of the product and only 1 flavor. Let me look at the plus side of this shall I? They had some in stock..and it was in the flavor I wanted to try, win win.
The flavors offered are, like this one seen here, Tiramisu which as the Breyers Gelato website states has "delicate mascarpone gelato, decadent espresso sauce, ladyfinger cookie pieces and gourmet cocoa." As soon as this indulgent dessert went into my mouth the eyes rolled back into my head and that OMG mmmm sound came out of my mouth. Amazing....and I like how the espresso soaked lady fingers are hidden at the bottom which makes you dig through all that deliciousness to get to it. Not like I am complaining mind you. It is very rich and indulgent...and yes sinful enough to be ADULTS only. Sorry kids! Meaning, I let my daughter have a taste and ever since I've been sneaking downstairs to get my own while she is asleep. (Don't Judge! As a parent you know what I am talking about!!)

Second Flavor : Vanilla Caramel which is described as "
creamy vanilla gelato, luscious caramel sauce and gourmet caramelly curls." Simple Enough.

Third Flavor: Triple Chocolate "
creamy milk and dark chocolate gelato, white chocolatey sauce and gourmet chocolate curls." Yum!

Fourth Flavor: And this is the one I'd love to try next Raspberry Cheesecake. "
silky cheesecake gelato, luscious raspberry sauce and gourmet graham crumbles"

Keep an eye out in your local grocery store papers or coupon sites, or BOTH! It's a new product so the company is wanting to get the attention out there for it and what better way to get people to try it then with a sale and coupons?! All in all GOOD product! I also want everyone to keep in mind I received my free coupon complimentary of Influenster. Where you can go and earn voxboxes too to try free things!

Change of Plans, got a surprise for a new VOXBOX!

I know I kept saying I was going to do my E.L.F. haul review but for some reason I can't get my butt in gear for it, but I was surprised by an email saying I had been picked to do another VoxBox review. You guys know how much I love to do these!

I also actually uploaded a YouTube video about the products too, that was scary seeing as I've never done that before and I am always so worried about judgements. BUT, I over came my fear and did it anyway!

So, lets get started on the whole box shall we? And like I usually do, I will post a whole box review here meaning, I will show each product, describe what it is, etc. THEN I will do a post for each product when I've used it and will review it that way. Sound good? Okay, let's go!

There it is in all its glory! 6 Different products to try and new challenges to conquer!

1.
You can clearly see what product this is. This is a Convenient NO TOUCH, no sting spray that fits anywhere to give you infection protection, and also pain relief while on the go! Retails for anywhere around $4.97 to $7.50

2.
Yup, that is correct. A FREE coupon for the new Breyers Gelato Indulgences. I paid 0.24 to cover taxes. Uhm cheapest ice cream buy ever! Wait, excuse me....Gelato...ahem. There are 4 delicious flavors of this lusciousness. Each flavor has a trio of different textures such as the gelato itself, which is creamy, some awesome sauce (no literally...some pretty awesome SAUCE) like caramel for instance, and gourmet toppings! I personally love their commercial for this product. It ranges from anywhere to $4.49 -$5.99.

3.
Ivory Bar Soap! Description I was given states that it is 99.44% pure clean and simple that contains no heavy dyes or perfumes. It is gentle on skin and recommended by 4 out 5 moms. We will see! I have sensitive skin and choose not to use bar soap because I don't like the residue type feeling left behind on my skin, we will see how Ivory fairs out, since I am a religious shower gel user.

4.
Okay, call me a perv but when I first opened my VoxBox I thought for a fleeting moment this was a box of condoms...forgive me Avon..anyways! So yeah lol this is Avon Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother! Its a translucent balm (which it is I had to look because I was skeptical) that blurs the look of wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes instantly! You use your fingers to gently pat onto the skin. The cream to powder skin perfector delivers a silky smooth virtually line-free look. It retails for $30 from Avon!

5.
A pack of Puffs Plus Lotion tissues. Puffs to go! Pretty much self explanatory. I always have a few packs stowed away in my car and purse, especially with a 4 year old around and allergy season! $0.49 per pack.

6.
This is the Shell Fuel Rewards card. It is a free royalty program that helps you save money on fuel. I am guessing you can do it through where you shop and all. Not sure? I don't know we'll see how it goes. I usually just get my gas here on base because I use my military star card (credit type card) because I get 10 cents off a gallon. Also, not sure where we have a shell station around here. I will give it a try and see what happens!

That is it on the quick over view of products. I am excited to start reviewing them and letting everyone know how it goes! Of course with blog post updates! Stay Tuned!

Also, I want to remind everyone, in no way, shape, or form do I get paid to review these products by the companies. I earn my VoxBox for FREE by doing surveys and staying up to date on my Influenster profile which you can join too, for FREE!

Sorry not sorry! Okay... I am truly Sorry.

It has been since April 10th since I've made my last post. What in the serious F, right?!

Well, sorry. In the sense of, I have been having some medical issues going on with me. I mentioned in previous post that my daughter and I had been getting sick off and on, that hasn't changed. This medical thing though has been going on off and on since last year and since it has gotten worse I had decided enough was enough! Between the symptoms, the blood tests, the CAT scan and that seriously nasty and painful experience, afraid to eat anything not knowing what will and will not make me sick...I've been tired. So SO tired! Trying to deal with that, keeping up with a 4 year old, making sure there is fun stuff to do for her to make up for the days I am seriously slammed with work (and feeling up to par), and daddy not being here to help mommy, my hair has gained more of its awesome silver. Its not grey nor white, but a beautiful shiny silver. -_-

The hubby comes home soon on R&R at the end of June just in time for my birthday, but leaves right before July 4th. So as like last year it will just be daughter and mommy enjoying the fireworks on base, at least we live on base so we don't have to battle that terrible traffic trying to get on and off. See? I can find a silver lining and positivity to a situation whether my husband thinks I can or not. He calls me a pessimist, I say I am just a realist.

I haven't forgotten my promise of posting my E.L.F. haul, I am hoping seriously hoping I can do that this week and not make it over a month long before anyone hears from me again.

I am a terrible blogger, but I choose to still do it whether I have readers or not.

I hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day weekend and staying safe!

Allergies, sickness, and Master's Week

It's been a little stretch between blog posts again. My daughter has been sick off and on lately and we're, meaning the doctors and I, are trying to figure out what is wrong with her and why. If you're a parent you know having a sickly child is exhausting and can be frustrating when no matter you do to try to help them, nothing is working. Allergies? Yeah, I am suffering from those too. Sneezing, runny nose, coughing and itchy throat, to the burning and itchy eyes. Awesome huh?

This week, which is almost over, is Master's Week here in Augusta, Ga which is where I am from, born and raised. I wanted to leave for this whole week because growing up our school spring break was ALWAYS Master's Week. Since my daughter got sick though we weren't able to. That's okay though!

I also have another blog post I am planning to do. I am not sure if I should try to do it as a Vlog or just a blog post. It's a cosmetics Haul of some of my favorites. I've got pictures I've taken, just nothing posted yet. Work has sort of gotten in the way as well lately. So, please don't fear or fret, I am not THE best blogger, but I am trying!

I appreciate all my readers, what little ones I have, and those flukes who just happen to come across the blog itself. I hope you all are doing well!

Ma Ma MIA! Clarisonic that is!

Have any of you ever heard of Clarisonic, what it is, and what it does? If so, awesome. If not, hey that is okay too!

The Clarisonic line of facial cleansing devices are pretty awesome, alittle pricy, but totally worth it. Depending on what you are looking for and what kind of job you want to get done depends on what type of device you need, or choose. I personally have the Clarisonic Mia in a beautiful Purple. I got mine sometime last year I believe around my birthday. It was a wonderful gift from my husband.

Can I just say I LOVE mine?! It retails for about $125.00 and I got mine at Sephora. You can get them almost anywhere now such as Ulta, and also now my Military PX carries them.

It comes with two speeds and also comes with interchangeable brush heads. Most if not all I believe do. I chose the one I did because I wanted something simple but also something that got the job done better than what my hands could do. It leaves my skin feeling much cleaner and most noticeably softer.

The brush heads I use are the acne ones and you can also buy these in multiple packs. It suggests you change them about every 3 months or so. When I bought mine it came in a box pack of 4. I just wanted to also add then when I was browsing through www.nomorerack.com they were selling some as well for a bargain price of course. So, if you are a bargain shopper like me, but want to get the good things in life, you may just want to venture over there.

Below are pictures of the beautiful Clarisonic Mia basking in all its glory and I am going to put a direct link to their website HERE

Since we're on beauty.....

Do you guys remember that semi short post about an awesome, lovely, down to earth gal named Jaclyn Hill? No? Yes? Maybe?

Well anyway, if you do, I am hoping you've checked out her youtube channel. She's been an inspiration for girls all over the planet...or make up world that is. She has spread like wild fire, and it's not just because shes beautiful on the outside and how well she does make up but just how awesome she is as a person, and I need to mention FUNNY!

Get to the point her Jen, we're waiting!

Okay so the point is. Recently she and Sigma Beauty collaborated together and came out with her own personal line of make up brushes in a kit that she uses personally herself. She just wanted to make it easy for us stay at home watchers and doers to be able to create her same exactly looks with the tools she uses. I am sure it completely makes a difference but, I, myself, will just have to enjoy the lovely reviews of all the lucky ladies out there who have been able to purchase those awesome brush sets.

Here's the Link the the Brush Set!  Yes, I know they are currently out of stock..are you surprised? No, me neither. BUT....you can put in your fancy email and it will send you an email as SOON as they are back in stock. ALSO, I must warn you...which I personally don't think will last long, but it will only be offered for the month of March. I think it may be extended since it is such a popular, in demand product now. We'll see!

To the lucky ladies to be able to get them, have them, and afford them. I applaud you! I'd love to have this set myself, but being a little cash strapped these days is a bummer. :(

Just in case you need a link to her youtube channel I will be posting that directly below!

Enjoy Ladies! Maybe even some of you Gents as well!

The weather and life itself.

Let me tell you some craziness that has been going on. The weather! I am sure we are not the only ones experiencing this intense weirdness right? Let's see we've had snow....then we had an ice storm, then on Feb 15th we had an earth quake...YES an earth quake. Also, I have been sick along with my daughter. Big absence from the blog. We're better, for now. Lots of other things have been playing a long in my absence too but those are still pretty personal.

So, let me get moving along with that review I promised over a month ago on the Influenster Mega VoxBox I won. It came with a whole different variety of the Rimmel scandal collection.

There is the pretty purple box in all its glory!

Here is everything in the box I received. I also just wanted to say I realized I did not take a pic of everything in the box. My apologies! So, I will just find them on the Rimmel website and post it here.

1.This is the Stay Matte Primer...as you can see it states. This is a pretty good primer and does well at smoothing out your skin without a oily type slick on your skin. I just know that you don't have to use a lot and make sure you put it on either patting or rubbing in completely, because if not it can leave white marks. I still use my other "primer" The Monistat Chaffing relief gel powder...yes...I do and it works just as good as any primer I've used if not better. It is in a big tube for not a lot of money. Win/Win!

2. Stay Matte Blush! I got my color I believe in Peach Flush. I am personally a little stand offish when it comes to a cream or liquid type of blush because I am afraid I will go too over board with it. I haven't used this but maybe once. I liked it and you MUST blend! As I always say a little goes a LONG way.
3. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Black Mascara Volume. I do like this Mascara a lot. It does give pretty good volume and I like that it isn't clumpy. I hate clumps. I have tried it a few times but I am still stuck on my Benefit's They're Real mascara that I got as a free gift. Its amazing!
  4. Rimmel's Glam Eye shadow in 5 shades. The color I got was called "Brick Lane" I absolutely LOVE this eyeshadow. I do however suggest using an eye primer so you will be able to have a beautiful all day look with no creasing. The shades compliment brown eyes and hazel eyes wonderfully. The shadow is smooth and goes on easily, the colors are also rich.

5. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye shadow stick. I believe the color I got was BulletProof Beige. I like these type of eye shadows because I take them and use them as a base. Meaning after putting on my eye primer, I next put on the eyeshadow stick as a base color then take a powder eye shadow like above #4 and take a similar color to add a bit of a POP to it! A nice layering effect. I have a few different shades in the NYX brand of eye shadow sticks I do the same thing with.

6. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner. I must say I have fallen in love with this and it is now the ONLY eyeliner I will use. It goes on super smooth and has a deep, dark, rich black color. Like, REALLY black. Perfection in a stick! If you're like me and line your water line then this is definitely the eyeliner you need.
7. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Coral Shimmer I believe. I personally am not a big fan of lipsticks. I hate the way they feel on my lips and just...no. This one however though does give the moisture I look for in a gloss that comes in a rich color. I just take a light swipe of those over my lips and top it with a complimentary gloss shade and voila! Pretty! (Sorry this pic is terrible isn't it?)
Well, that was the Rimmel VoxBox I got with awesome goodies in it. I hope you enjoyed the reviews and post. If there is anything you'd like to suggest that I review or even try by all means please leave a comment below and I will definitely consider doing a post about it.

Leave of absence gap

Oh my Gawdness I am SO sorry that it has been a good bit since I've blogged. I'm a terrible blogger aren't I? I am just all over the place. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Pretty much sums up my life so why not have it bleed over into my blog world right? UGH!

Anyway, I have been having more of a tough time with my husband being away than I originally thought. Don't judge. It's not like I can't function without him, I just don't want to! We're in LOVE what can I say (Hears people barfing already), hey, sorry, that is what happens when you finally find your one true love and soul mate, which after a horrible relationship and some other things mixed in there, would never happen. Luckily for us it did! After a few near misses of ALMOST meeting each other, when we finally did, as my favorite saying goes "And then my soul saw you and it kind of went, "Oh there you are. I've been looking for you"" :) Adorbs!

Countdown Until he gets home from Korea....11 months, Boo.  Count down until he comes home on R and R somewhere near 5 months, Yay!

Okay, enough of that mess! I know in my last blog I mentioned about getting this awesome box of goodies from Influenster since I was one of the top 20 peeps to complete tasks and it came with a bunch of Rimmel London ScandalEyes collection makeup. I kid you not, the next day I received it. So that review is long over due. My next blog WILL be that review. Promise.

My work has been slowing down which is good. I get to spend more time with my daughter and talking to my husband when he gets off work. (Even though this time difference is insane, 14 hour difference? Uh no thanks.) It's bad its slowing down because that means less money for me to be able to pay my bills in. Not cool.

Hopefully things will start getting better and not harder like they've been, but really if I have no expectations then everything is sort of a surprise, make sense? No? Yeah I didn't think so either.

Still breathing...and alive, somewhat existing.

Its been a week now since the hubby has been gone and boy I tell you I thought I was going to be a lot stronger than this! I've been taking care of things just not like I usually do. Kind of halfheartedly. Which should make sense right? Half my heart is across the world. Our daughter has been doing alright. She is always asking where daddy is and when hes getting off work and its hard to have an answer for her. Its is going to be a LONG year.

I just thought I would do a quick update. I am pretty tired. I stay up super late (or early?) depending on what type of person you are and how you look at things. we're 14 hours apart so its been tough.

I won an Influenster prize box that should be coming in within the next week or so. I am excited to at least get that and post about what all came in it. At the top of my page you can also see I have an updated Influenster badge.

I hope everyone of you is doing well in the start of this new year!

2014 is here, and so is something else.

Welcome everyone to the great and wonderful unknown called 2014! I hope everyone's so far is going great, and if you are one of those seemingly less few who make resolutions, I, in all sincerity hope you are able to keep them. I will support you and cheer you on!

My husband leaves this Wednesday to Korea...for a whole year...without my daughter and I. Its going to be tough. Even though I was a single mom before I met my husband, but the thing is now...we got used to having each other around to talk to when frustrated about anything, and just be there in silence and be comfortable with just that. My daughter, too, was younger when we first met and was in daycare, which was very good for her and I. It helped her a lot. As most parents know though daycare is highly expensive. I am making sure she is 1 of the first on the Pre-K list here. Her and I both need it, and I hope she is picked to be able to go! Here in Georgia as I mention before in a previous post is that Ga is a lottery funded Pre-K with very limited spots. Like the lottery itself! I personally do not think a child's education however should be gambled on, but it's an opinion everyone has one right?

I don't really have such a resolution this year, I want to see it more as a goal. I want to be able to change myself for the better, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I want my husband to come home after a year and be like "Whoa! Who's that fine female, with the banging body, and awesome attitude?" Personally, I am ready to reinvent myself for the better. Too many years have gone by that I've let others tear me down, that is right, I said LET. That is a mistake first and foremost. You should never let anyone do anything to you that you don't want to or wouldn't do to others. Yup, that is  my resolution. :)
